Trustee recruitment and appointment The number of Trustees shall not be less than three nor more than six.
The Trustees shall be entitled, by way of resolution passed by majority vote at a
meeting of the Trustees, to appoint any individual as a Trustee.
The Trustees shall have power to remove any individual as a Trustee, by way of a
resolution passed at a meeting of the Trustees by a majority of two thirds or
more of the Trustees then in offce.
An individual holding offce as a Trustee may retire by giving notice in writing to
that effect to the secretary to the Trust.
Objectives and activities
Charitable purposes 1) The Trustees shall hold and apply the sum of £1 paid by us to them, and such
other funds and assets as may from time to time be comprised in the Trust
Property, in trust for the following purposes:
a) the advancement of the Christian religion in the Diocese of Asante Mampong,
Ghana, in the Anglican Province of West Africa
b) the advancement of education through the mission of the Anglican Diocese
of Asante Mampong
c) the prevention and relief of poverty through the mission of the Anglican
Diocese of Asante Mampong
2) The expenses of creating and administering the Trust, and any tax payable in
relation to the Trust, shall be met in priority to all other payments and transfers
of assets out of the Trust Property.

Summary of the main activities in relation to these objects

1) To further the purposes of the Trust in support of the Diocese of Asante Mampong as given above 2) To accept donations from Scottish and other UK donors in furtherance of the purposes above and to recover appropriate GiftAid on such donations. 3) To accept legacies of all kinds (and to accept any reasonable conditions attaching to them). 4) To make discretionary grants to the Diocese of Asante Mampong upon application to the Trustees in furtherance of the purposes above according to merit, as decided by the Trustees.

5) To validate that grant expenditure is consistent with each application through visiting Ghana and through the receipt and recording of documentary and photographic evidence. 6) To establish and/or support any other charity, and to make donations for any charitable purpose falling within the Trust’s Purposes.
