It is gov8m8d by its constitution vthich was adopted on 28th July 2016. Th8 group was granted charitsble status by OSCR on 11th August 2016. Appolntment of Trust••s The management committee which nonnally meets on a monthly basis, a the charity's trustees. Membership of the association is open to all residents across Inverclyde. Any individual interested in supporting and furthering the work of the association and b8come Trust88s ar8 818Ct8d at the Annual General Meeting held in April. Under the constitution there must be a minimum ofthree and not more than eight Trustees eleded.
Management The Trustees are responsible for the strategic direction and govemance of the group. The Truste8s ar8 particularly aware of their responsibilities including Health and Safety of their members. Objectlvos and Actlvltles Charltable Purpose8 Our purposes as recorded in our constitution. which is the advancement of health through.. The organisation's purposes which are to promote, for the benefit of members, without distinction of sex, race, political. religious or other opinions, the advancement of health by;" a) Improving the physical, mental health and wellbeing as a result of members participating in GRASP (Greenock Recovery Alcohol Support Project) opportuniti8s through workshops and training sessions on a range of relevant subjects that will provide people suffering from alcohol addiction with the appropriate skills and techniques they require in order to achieve and sustain recovery. b) Develop and improve GRASP memberfs skills and confidence through partnership working within other partners and agencies with a strong focus of skill sharing between members and the local community of Inverclyde. c> Addressing inequalities In seNce provision and enable wider access to services. d> Organising a range of social actFViti8s that will contribute to the personal recovery and the general wellbeing of people suffering from alcohol addiction. e) Providing people suffering from alcohol addiction with an opportunity to come togethef in order to 5UPPOrt each other in their ioumey towards full recovery. fj Prowding people suffering from alcohol addiction an opportunity share 8XP8ri8nces in the know18dge that tog8ther we can h8lp each Other to sustain our indiwdual recoveries. g) Encourage community participation, spirit and enterprise in all areas relating to members interests for the benefit of health.
Activitlos Our activities are on the increase along with group m8mb8rships and will continue with participation in the various local events spad throughout the coming year. Also we are concentrating on s8curing more funding in order to further our aims as detailed in our recent business plan. Achlevements and Parforniance During our short period as a Charity several of our members have supported various local and r8gional events and continue to do so. We continue to abide by our adopted code of conduct as well as implement the findings from our SWOT (Strengths Weaknesses Opportunities Threats) analysis which influ6nc6d our business plan for 2017-2020. Flnanclal Reviow In our fifth year as a charity our finances have been very minimal however we continue working on securing a range of funding in order to promote and raise our profile.
