Objectives: 4.1 To advance the arts, heritage, culture or science by promoting the recognition and illustrious heritage of keelboats designed and built on the banks and the firth of the river Clyde and securing this for future generations, by sourcing such boats including, for example the Loch Long One Design, the Gareloch Class and the Scottish Islands One Design, that are no longer in commission and restoring them. 4.24.2 To provide recreational facilities or organise recreational activities by organising regattas for the restored craft to involve young people and ex-servicemen and women and others suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder or similar disorders, providing a view for the public, encouragement for those suffering from those disorders and an opportunity for young people to experience sailing in keelboats by taking them sailing.
