**What the charity does:** We organise and promote an annual festival for a week in June and other related activities during the year on behalf of the community of Lanark.  All organisations in the town are eligible to participate, including schools and churches, and all members of the community are eligible for membership of the Lanimer Committee. We meet regularly and support the activities of all taking part, providing a financial contribution to each participating group and prizes for success. We liaise with the local authority, Police Scotland, and first responders in mounting events which involve children and adults of all ages and encourage visiting bands from across the local region.
