**What the charity does:** The Scottish Older People’s Assembly (SOPA) is an independent charity that brings together older people and organisations to ensure their voices are heard in shaping policy and practice across Scotland. SOPA works to empower older people to share their experiences, highlight challenges, and influence positive change. Guided by a vision of a socially just Scotland that values older people’s ideas, expertise, and contributions, SOPA provides a strong platform for engagement, discussion, and advocacy. Through its network, it champions the rights, wellbeing, and active participation of older people, while celebrating the vital role they play in society.
