The purpose of the Sl Lawrence Hall. Old Rayne SCIO Is lo provide
recreational facilities for the residents of the village of Old Rayne and Ils
surrounding dislficl to enable Individuals. clubs and other organisalions lo
enhance community spinl, promote social Inclusionlinlerxlion and deliver
a diverse range of ￿lsure and other community-based acbvilies

in relation to these objects
The organwI￿n ra￿eS fvJnd5 for the thal ccmnmunty and Its vilb9e nall mainly by
organising the annual Lwnn Fair In the village's St Lawrence Hall arid adjacent
r￿Id and olher cwsional ￿ndraiSerS. hcwever since just before the pandemic
and cèrtainty ￿nce the pandLynic. Il has been difficult lo find volL*)teer to realise
these fundraisers. In place of the rather large Lounn Fair. a Lourkn BBQ wa5
Ofganised There were also two Pub Nohls to false funds. Thes• funds conlribule
to Ihe upkeep of Ihe Si Lawrence Hall to allow Ih15 hall to be rnade Jvailable lo
organisations and the k)cal pnmary school withoul Costs othef Ih•l •l•ttricity used
by these 9roups The organisalson may eknt to offer small grantg lo I￿al
organisation ap￿yIng for lundin9 through that this not happen dLthng 2024. The
organisation usually wovides a Seniors, Xrna5 lunch during the rlonlh ol
December for reiifed villagers and their partnefs. though. again. trat did not

The organisalion wll hold sufficient funds for any ernergehcy repairs and
for the maintenance of Ihe Si Lawrence hall as a community facility

The main reason for the SCIO running al a loss Is the conheclion ol the
generalor which tilled the final figufe of Inslallalion and att•chmenl over
the grant figLtre In addition Ihere are still funds due from h811 u$ers who

bul It proves hard to molivale volunteers and local villagerg
