Newcastleton Village Hall has been owned and run by the community since 1956 with the following aims. Our objectives are that the Newcastleton Village Hall shall be held by us and our successors as Trustee's in all time coming for the purpose of physical & mental training and social moral and intellectual development through the medium of reading rooms,Library,lectures,classes or otherwise as may be found expedient of the inhabitants of Newcastleton in the county of Roxburgh and it's immediate vicinity. Without distintion of sex or of political, religious or other opinions subject to the provisions of these present. We provide and maintain the Newcastleton Village Hall as a recreational facility for the people and community of Newcastleton & surrounding area for use by local community groups to hire for their community events

Beneficiaries: 'No specific group, or for the benefit of the community'

Objectives: The said subjects and the buildings erected or to be erected thereon (hereinafter referred to as The Trust subjects') are dedicated and shall be held by us and our successors as Trustees in all time coming for the purpose of physical and mental training and social , moral and intellectual development through the medium of reading rooms, library, lectures , classes or otherwise as may be found expedient of the inhabitants of Newcastleton in the County of Roxburgh and its immediate vicinity, without distinction of sex or of political, religious or other options subject to the provisions of these presents .
