Objectives: 4.1 The advancement of religion within Scotland through the provision of teachings from Scripture that encourage support for the poor as being both a moral and religious duty to be undertaken by all members of our congregation, 4.2 The prevention and relief of poverty in Scotland amongst families that are suffering financial hardship through the provision of food and clothing, as well as providing training in areas such as self-employment and employability. 4.3 The promotion of racial harmony within Scottish communities by reaching out to people within these communities and encouraging them to become involved in a range of activities where they can have the opportunity to interact with people from other countries, cultures and belief systems in order to promote mutual understanding and tolerance. 4.4 The relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage in Scotland by providing them with practical help and assistance. either within their own homes or elsewhere, as well as through the provision of pastoral support where this is considered appropriate.
