Activities

'It carries out activities or services itself'

'the advancement of the arts, heritage, culture or science'

The charity is set up to encourage choral singing and to commission new music. This is done primarily through our weekly rehearsals with our choir members - now around 150 people - and our twice yearly concerts (one in May and 2 in December). We also regularly commission new music, and perform at other events by invitation. We also hold a residential workshop weekend each year for our singers.

Beneficiaries: 'No specific group, or for the benefit of the community'

Objectives: 4.1 To encourage, develop and support choral singing and musicianship within individuals over 17 years of age to the highest standards. and 4.2 To encourage, develop and support choral singing and associated musicianship in the cultural life of Scotland and beyond, at all levels. and 4.3 To organise, promote and manage (or to assist in organising, promoting or managing) concerts and other public performances either independently or alongside other artists (or organisations), to increase the availability and accessibility to the general public of music of the highest standards. and 4.4 To commission, where possible, leading artists and composers to create works of the highest quality, and to provide a platform to premiere and perform these works in order that they may receive the greatest amount of exposure to the public, and to increase the accessibility of such works to the public.
