The trustees meet regularly and oversee the financial management and delivery of activities. The charity is volunteer-led and does not employ any staff. ## **Objectives and activities** Inspiration Orchestra is set up to provide inclusive and accessible music-making opportunities for adults with additional support needs and disabilities. The charity aims to improve wellbeing, confidence, social connection and quality of life through participation in group music activities. The charity delivers its objectives through regular orchestral music sessions led by experienced facilitators, adapted to meet a wide range of abilities and needs, and by working with carers, families and partner organisations to reduce barriers to participation. ## **Public benefit** The trustees have had regard to OSCR’s guidance on public benefit. The charity’s activities provide public benefit by supporting the emotional wellbeing, confidence and social inclusion of people with disabilities and additional support needs. Access to activities is provided in an inclusive and supportive way, with any limitations relating only to capacity, safeguarding and appropriate support requirements. ## **Achievements and performance** During the year 2024–25, Inspiration Orchestra continued to deliver weekly music sessions and bi-monthly public concerts for approximately 32 disabled adults across the Tayside region. In addition, weekly music sessions were delivered over two school terms for five severely disabled children attending Kings Park School in Dundee. Special events included a one-day music festival in May and two three-day residential music camps, providing extended opportunities for musical engagement, confidence building and social interaction. ## **Financial review** Funding remained stable throughout the year, supported by grants and donations, with The Gannochy Trust continuing as a consistent long-term funder. Expenditure was primarily related to the delivery of charitable activities. The trustees consider the charity to be financially stable, and no financial expansion is considered necessary for the 2025–26 year. ## **Governance** The Board of Trustees has remained stable and effective throughout the year, providing continuity of oversight and ensuring the charity operates in line with its charitable purposes. ## **Trustees’ responsibilities** The trustees are responsible for preparing this Trustees’ Annual Report and the accompanying financial statements in accordance with applicable law and regulations.
