Meadowbank Car 4U was granted Charits￿e status on 29 February, 2016 Appolntment of Trustees The current trustees were appointed by the members as tharity trustees at the AGM held 9th ortober 2024.

Management The trustees are responsible for the operation of the charity and meet on a regular basis and not less than every two months. Objectlve To deliver a free transport service to cancer patients from the three Doctors, Practices located within Meadowbank Health Centre, to and from h05Pital appointments/treatment sessions relating to their illness. Thereby: Reducing the length of time the patient is away from home. Improvln8 their quality of life as journeys will be less stressful and more comfortable, and as a result they wlll be far less tired. Provide a personal and supportive servlce, as if a friend were taking the person to hospltal. The transport Is provlded by volunteer drivers uslng their own cars for which they are paid a milea8e allowance of 45p per mile. Summary of our Actlvltles Our buslest month was September 2024 when we made 56 return trips , the quletest month was December 2024 when we only made 14 return trips During the year we advertised for more volunteer drlvers, we now have 24 volunteer drlvers. We continue to receive regular referrals from Meadowbank Health Centre, Returnlng patients can contact our co-ordinators dlrect. We advertise our servlce through soclal medla, leaflets dlsplayed In medlcal centres, chemlst shops, Ilbrary, and communlty centres. The mileage allowance we pay remains at 45p per mile. Fundralslng This year we held two of our regular fvndraising events. This year we held two Quiz nights, the first on 2614124 raising £665, our second was on the 25/10124 raising £761,both were held in The Venue Maddiston. Donations to our collettion cans placed in local shops raised the sum of £1309.72. Personal donations amounted to £8758.32 (including donations through Just Giving). We are very grateful for the level of support we receive locally and from other organisation5, patients, and their familie5. Donated facilities and servlces.

Our volunteer drivers have driven 24834 mlles and given approx. IIX)O hours of their time. Our co- ordinator5 work from their own homes to keep costs at a minimum, each co-ordinator does two weeks co- ordinating every 10 weeks. We estimate that the coordinators have given 200 volunteer hours in the past year. We have other volunteers who help with fundraising events. and we are 8ratefvl for their assistance. The trustees would like to thank all our volunteers and spouses/partners for all thelr hard wor Reserves As can be noted in the accompanylng Annual Accounts there was a small surplus of £685.44 for the year.
