Aberdeen Mountain Rescue Team was constituted as a Scottish Charitable In¢orpor818d Organisatk)n as al 12
January 2016. The SCIO took over all the assets ofAberdean & St John Mountain Rtss¢ue Association.
The purpose of the team is the savlng of life by asslsllng the Police, emergency Bervices and other agencies in
search and recuè ol missing per80n5 PTimarily, bul not exclusively, in the North East of Scolland, the Caimgorms
and the h1118 of Deeslde and Donside.
The trustees have paid due regard lo guKlance issued by the Charity Commlssion In dgdding what adivilles the
charity should undertake.
A¢hl¥v•m•nts and p•rforni•nc•
Throughout 2024 Aberdeen Mountain Rescue Teams volunteers were on hand to respond at 8 moment's tholice lo
a8S131 people in the outdoor5. The team attended 25 call outs often working alongside other Scottish Mountain
Rescue Teams and Emergency Services. This equaled to 830 hours which was another busy year for our le4m
volunl8ers.

profil of £205,465 Compared lo £49.218 for last year from the ¢harily ¢arrying out ils operating activity. The gain on

Reserves policy
It is the policy of the charity that investment reserves are bulll up from beque81slgrfts received ea¢h year. The
charity retains these lo ensure funds are maximised wh&re possible and can be accessed for any larger purchases
that the team may require to make to ensure the smooth running of the volunteer rescue service. The charity
maintains a healthy cash balance for unforeseèn and day lo day ongoing expenditurfy.

1.1 Accountlng conventlon
The financial slalernenls have been prepared in accordance with the charity's goveming document, the
Companies Act 2006 the Charities and Trustee Investment {Scotlandl Act 2005, the Charities Accounts
(Scotland) Regulation$ 2006. FRS 102 The Financial Reporting Stsndard appli¢8ble in the UK and Rèpublic
of Ireland" and the Chaiilies SORP "Accounting and Reporting by Charities.. St8tern&nl Of Re¢ommended
Practice appllcable lo charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard
applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 102}" The charity is a Public Benefit Enlily as defined by
FRS 102.
The charily has taken advantage of the provisions in the SORP for charities not lo prgparg a slalamgnt of
cash llows.
The finan￿31 Statements are prepared in sterling, which is the fun¢tlonal currency of th& ¢h8rtty. Monetary
amounts in these financial statements are rout)ded to the nearest £.
The finandal $18lemenls have been prèpared under the historical cost convention. modified to indude Ihe
revaluation of freehold properties and to include investment properties and certain financial instruments at fair
value. The principal attountin9 policies adopted are sel out below.

has adequate resources lo continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. Thus the trustees
