To help fill the gap between an ambulance being called and its arrival. We are trained to respond to medical emergencies and try to keep the patient stabile and/ or improve their condition. We are also trained to provide CPR/Defibrillator training to the general public to try to improve the survival rates when someone suffer an Out Of Hospital Cardiac Arrest. To further improve survival rates we are active in supplying and maintaining Defibrillators in the local community.

Objectives: The purpose of the Association is to provide the Dalbeattie area through the work of its First Responder Volunteer members, in accordance with their applicable Scottish Ambulance Service training 'pre-emergency ambulance care', including Cardio Pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and Defibrillation, , to individuals in respiratory or cardiac arrest or who are unconscious or are experiencing a serious or life threatening medical condition. The Association shall not be entitled to change its said Purpose other .than to expand or contract the geographical area(s) in Scotland in which it operates.
