The Charity was previously an unincorporated association. The assets of the unincorporated association were transfeed lo the SCIO on 19th October, 2015. APPOINTMENTS OF TRUSTEES The Board of Trustees nomially meet fouT times a year. Trustees are elected by a majority vote at the Board meetings. Main Objectives The Charity airns to change attitudes and b¢haviours so that disablcd and vulnerable pcople in Scotland feel safe in their communities. To do this they will lead a national movement for CHANGE C- Create a new disability initiative that helps people (o feel connected with their comTnunities. H - Harness strong partnership working to lacilitate changes in altitudes and behaviours. A- Advance society's awareness of Disability Hate Crime. N- Network with individuals and groups who have lived and livtng experience. G- Galvanise communitics to work collaboratively to aim for a Scotland where everyone can feel safe. I AM ME SCOTLAND SCIO TRUSTEES ANNUAL REPORT Main Achievements 2025-2026 During the period the charity, which has received the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service, has continued to work with Children, young people and people with lived and living experience to develop a range of illnovative, exciting and accessible rcsources. The online plaifom is available FREE for all schools and Police partners in Scotland and is available from iammescotlandeducation.org.uk. There are currently over 3200 teachers and Police oificers using the platfom to deliver educdlional inputs. Resources include. disability awareness. hate crirne, alcohol & Subslance, UNCRC, Vaping and much more. In 2025-2026, the team have worked with partners. young pcople and pcople with lived and living experience to create the following rcsour¢es-. NSPCC Campalgn lor Renfrewshlre Following th¢ launch of the You Are Not Alone resources in 2025, the NSPCC and l Am Me developed a collaborative Child Sexual Exploitation campaign for Renfrewshire 'R¢ady lo Talk,. The team worked closely with a multl-8gency steering group to guide Ihe design and delivery of live pcrforniances across Renfrewshire sccondary schools. This was followcd by a widcr campaign and re¥ourc¢s aimed at professionals, young pcople. and parentslcarcrs. The livc perforniancc, delivercd by a professional theatre company. reachcd over 900 young people acro.gs six Renfrewshire secondary schools. In addilion, more than l 00 professionalq attended the launch eveni. with over 60 requesting follow-up infomation. 'Should l Tell Someone, Fllms As a legacy of the campaign, I Am Me design¢d 4 short films which will be devcloped further. in partncrship with Kibble and Renfrewshire Council, to become a leaming pack for use within schools and groups across Scotland. The 4 short films hav¢ been designed with young people and scek to highlight the various ways in which young people can be targeted for exploitaiion. Deaf Awareness Anlmatlon The I Am Me team have worked with young pcople from St Roch's School in Glasgow to devclop a Deaf awarencss resource. Working closely with young people who are Deaf, the resourcL seeks to raise awarene.%q of the importance nf deaf ciilttire and the iise of FISI, as a recognised language. Pe2
Disability FrleDdly Disabiliry Friendly launched in July 2025 to build on, and fvrther develop the foundations left after the completion of the Keep Safe initiative. Disabiliry Friendly aims to create a network of places where disabled people can fecl valued, respected and included within their communities. Organisations who register to become Disability Friendly must identify a Disability Friendly Chatnpion within their organisation. This individual will ensure all relevant staff complete the free training, which helps lo bettcr undcrsland the range of disabilities, the legislative protection. helping to prevent discrimination. as wcll as the barriers that people may face, the importance of cquality and diversity and the understanding of hate crime and reporting. All resources and tTaining are provided free, helping to promote inclusion across Scotland. To date, there ar¢ 122 registered organisations and 690 people who have completed the training. This includes St Mirr¢n Football Stadium who received a full accessibiliry revicw and recommendations report, helping to ensurc disabled fans are supported and included within the clubs operational and match day management. I AM ME SCOTLAND SCIO TRUSTEES ANNUAL REPORT (COIYTINUED) FINANCIAL REVIEW During the period the Charity received gross funds of £69.235 (2025 £52.127) and expended £24,839 (2025 - £114.590) whicb rcsultcd in a SujUS at 31 March 2026 of £44.396 (2025 - £62,463 deficit). Reserves Policy The Trust¢¢s' policy is to taill twelve months, worth of staffing and running costs in ordcr to Tneet commitments and unexpected expenditure. Twelvc months expenditure stands at £89,000. which will be held within a charity savings account and reserves are £130,962. Included in the reserves, £62,450 has been allocated to cover staff costs for 2025-2026. Donated Facililies and Services The Charity receives the donated 5erviccs of two members of staff al Renfrewshire Council and has strong partnership with Renfrewshire Council and the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Servtce (COPFS). The new Strategic Plan for 2025-2028 details planned activities, including the aim to increase the profLle of th¢ charity, highlighting the valu¢ as a contributor to national conversation and policy. Other strategic priorities include the commitment to.. Build on the excellent bealth and wellbeitig educational platform, focussing on prevention nd early interycntion (hami r¢duction).
