Structure. Governance and Management
Background
The residents of the Cultercullen area became aware of an opportunttyto purchase a Ple￿ of land on
the OLFtskirts of the village in August 2015. It was considered an ideal tocation to LTeate a community
park. Member5 of the community made generous donations which facilitated the land purchase.
Constitution
The Charty is a Scottish Charttable Incorporated Organisation ISCIOI. It was registered in its current
legal fomi on 24 September 2015. The charity was previously an unincorporated association but
changed its legal fomi to a sao. The a&%ets ofthe unincorporated aswciated were transferred to
the SCIO on the 8 October 2015. It has a double tier structure and has both trustees and members of
the charty.
Appointment of t￿￿ee5
The Trustees, shown above. were re-appointed on 25 November 2024.
Trustees are normaliy elected at the Annual General Meeting. There must be a minimum of four and
a maximum of six trustees. Currerrtiy there a￿ six twstee

Charitable Aims and Activities
Charitable Alms
The provision and upkeep of the Cultercullen Community Park which was created by the efforts of the
Trustees and members through fundraising and volunteering. The Park has been established for the
use primarily of the residents in the Cultercullen area.
A¢tivitie5
Activities this past year included the following-
Ongoirg maintenance of the park induding tendirg to the trees. weeding and grass cutting.
Purchase of new ride on lawn mower wtth generous donations from residents and matth
funding from Hill of Fiddes Communtty Fund.
Unfortunatefy, there We￿ no Bedding Plants from Aberdeenshire Council Landscape se1vi￿s
this year, therefore donated plants onty We￿ planteil in the beds and hanging baskets.
Planters-3 number new planters were purchased usinggrants from Hill of Fiddes Community
Fund Ifrom last finanaal yearl. These replaced existing dilapi(Jated ones.
The entrance car park was improved by laying grey stone thips.
The trustees are trying to encourage Volunt￿r$tO help look after the part by having a regular
monthly'workday" on the second Saturday of each month between Spring and Autumn.
The rockery bed was given a complete makeoverand the central tree replaced.
Flnancial Review
Our initial source of funding was mainlyfrom the generous donations from our members.
Last year we were successful in applying for and ￿CeIVIng a grant for three new planters from Hill of
Fiddes Community Fund. These plarrter5 were purchased this financial year. We also received a grant
for the Improvements to Amenities Scheme from Foveran Community Council.
We were also successful in applying for and ￿CeIVing a grant from the Hill of Fiddes Community Fund
to help wÉth the purchase of a new ride on lawn mower as the old one became unfft for purpose. To
assist wwth this, we also received donatiorts from the residents by using Justgiving Fundraising.
