Structure, Governance and Management Background The residents of the Cultercullen area be(zme aware of an opportunttyto purchase a piece of land on the outskirts of the village in AugLSt 2015. It was considered an ideal location to ueate a community park. Members of the community m3de generous donations which tacilitsted the land purchase. Constitution The Charity is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation ISCIOI. It was registered in its current legal form on 24 September 2015. The charity was previousty an unincorporated association but changed its legal form to a SCIO. The assets of the unincorporate(l assooated We transferred to the SCIO on the 8 Ottober 2015. tt has a doubletierstructure and has both trustees and members of the charity. Appointment of trustees The Trustees, shown aVe, were re-appointed on 24 November 2023. Trustee5 are nonrjally elected at the Annual General Meeting. There must be a minimum of four and a maximum of six trustees. CLsrrentlythere are six trustees.
Charitable Aims and Artivities Charitable Aim5 The provision and upkeep of the Cultercullen Community Park which was created by the efforts of the Trustees and members through fundraising and volunteering. The Park has been established for the use primarily of the residents in the Culterojllen are3. Activities Activities this past year included the following- Planting of 5ea50nal bulbs and fbwers together wwth penn1315. Ongoing maintenance of the park induding tending to the tree5, weedin8 and grass cutting. A limited number of Bedding Plants from Aberdeenshire Council Lands(ape SeTvices were made available to us this year. These were all planted out. Planters- 6 number new planters were purchased usinggrantsfrom Hill of Fiddes Community Fund. These replaced existing dilapidated ones. Facebook page updated as required. Financial Review Our initial source of fufidirE was mainlyfrom the generous donations from our members. This year we have been successful in applying for and receivingthree grantsfor new planters from Hill of Fiddes Communty Fund. We have yet to purchase planters from the most recent grant. We also reoived a grant for the Improvements to Amenities Scheme from Foveran Community Council. In addition, we received donations, both personal and from the residents, through organised events at Halloween anil Easter. Details of the Financial Statements are induded as Appendix 2 to this report.
