Lossiemouth Community Development Trust (LCDT) is a well-established, community-led charity with the goal of making Lossiemouth a thriving, sustainable, and inclusive place to live, work, and visit. Formed in 2014, LCDT plays a key role in supporting the long-term development of the town. We do this by delivering projects that enhance sustainable development and long-term regeneration of Lossiemouth. Our work focuses on improving infrastructure, increasing access to inclusive community spaces, and developing sustainable community-owned assets that enhance quality of life for residents and visitors.

Objectives: The Trust has been formed to benefit the people residing and/or working in the Lossiemouth Community Council area, which comprises the postcode unit IV31, and will represent the interests of the whole community of Lossiemouth, throughout the lifetime of the Trust. The Trust objectives are: (1) The advancement of community development, including advancement of rural regeneration, but such that the Trust shall do so following principles of sustainable development. (2) The enhancement of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended. (3) The advancement of citizenship. (4) The advancement of environmental protection or improvement. (5) The relief and prevention of poverty. (6) The relief of unemployment.
