We are a Community Development Trust. Formed by residents to deliver change to benefit our community. We enable the people who work, live and play in the Linlithgow ward to use local knowledge for community benefit. We work with residents of all ages and backgrounds and have a no barriers approach so anyone who wants to get involved can. We focus within 3 priority areas: • Environmental Initiatives - Encouraging waste reduction, resource reuse, and recycling within the community. promoting energy efficiency, encouraging sustainable transportation options, developing friendly green spaces, supporting local food production. • Improving Community Health and Wellbeing - Building connections, reducing social isolation, improving mental and physical health and well-being, increasing learning and skill-building • Community Engagement -Empowering residents to develop innovative and sustainable solutions to create community benefit and capacity-building.

Objectives: The SCIO's purposes are to benefit principally the communities of Linlithgow which comprises those communities that lie within Linlithgow Ward. The ward includes Linlithgow, Linlithgow Bridge, Bridgend, Philipstoun and Threemiletown, rural Beecraigs and Acredales, rural Kettleston Mains to Wester Woodside and rural Newton ('the Community') with the following objects: 4.1 The advancement of citizenship or community development principally within the Community. 4.2 The advancement of environmental protection or improvement 4.3 But only to the extent that the above purposes are consistent with furthering theachievement of sustainable development.
