Partnership Working We Tool successfully offered Relaxed Sessions every nioht ol the 2024 Light FestlV81, further strengthening our plevious successful partnership. Thanks to funding. we weTe able to provide an inclusive and accessible relaxed session each night. along with Sensory Chillville and Sen50ry 8ags for all cijslornefs who needed them Feedback from the event was overwhelmingly pOsitVe, and having sessions available every night made the lestlV21 more inclusive for our customers 8cross the City and Shire. This year. donations have ¥i5en to £52.092, marking an increase of £3.152 compared lo the previous year However. thi5 growth is 8t a slower pace than in Pfiol years, which continue5 to reflect the ongoirig impact ol the current cost of living crisis. Grwrt FU¥ Chaiitys Policy The Trustees are thrilled to observe continued financial stability within the organis8tion It has always been our policy to maintain a reserve equivalent to three month's operating expenses. so witnessing this r8s8rve glow alongside the charity's expansion is particularly good governance. Thi5 growth not only reflects the sustainaly'lity of the magazine but also the ongoin9 success of the Parent Support Centre While operational costs have inevitably risen. we h8ve been able to otfsel some ol these increases Ihiough initiatives such as running in-house clubs, ollering relaxed sessions, and prov*ding space lor community gfOUPS and meetings. These efforts play a crucial role in ensuring that the charity remains independent and does not heavily rely on third-party funding. LFke many Ihird-seclor organisalions. we have experienced a notable reduction in funding Iiom local councils and the Scottish Government.
