Central to this system is the International Water Stewardship Standard (AWS Standard), which provides globally applicable framework for major water users to understand their own water use and impacts, and to work transparently within the context of a catchment. Third party certification processes enable sites which conform with the Standard to make credible claims related to their water stewardship practices.
