Support all black minority ethnic police officers and staff within the Police Service of Scotland, the British Transport Police and the Scottish Police Authority to achieve equality in race. Primarily consult with and advise the Police Service of Scotland on policy, guidance and procedures that may adversely impact BME officers and staff. Assist the Police Service of Scotland to drive forward its agenda to become an anti racist organisation. Assist to establish / improve relations between BME communities and the Police Service of Scotland. Encourage interest in policing from BME communities. Provide practical support and guidance to BME officers and staff. Engagement with HMICS on relevant reviews of operational policing practices and policies. Regular liaison with Scottish Government Police Division. Engagement with third sector stakeholders that promote equity, equality and diversity. Fostering good working relationships with other police staff associations, nationally.

Objectives: 4.1 to promote equality of opportunity and fairness throughout the police services of Scotland. 4.2 To work with minority ethnic communities to foster, improve and strengthen relations between them and the police services of Scotland.
