The Trustees continued to take an active part in the development of the process to restore Grant Lodge. This has involved meetings with The Moray Council Cultural Board, partner organisations and funding bodies. The progress of the design for the building has involved of architects, surveyors and other professionals. The Grant Lodge Trust is adapting its composition and activities to work more closely with the Cultural Board and have a more active role in the development of Grant Lodge. The Grant Lodge Trust was awarded a grant from the Architectural Heritage Fund in December 2025, to appoint a Development Officer to support the Trust to develop as an organisation more directly involved in the next phases of development and management of the Lodge. The Development Officer will be in post from April 2026.

Objectives: The company's objects are the advancement of education, the advancement of the arts, heritage, culture or science. To preserve, conserve and develop Grant Lodge, Elgin and it's immediate surroundings without prejudice to the foregoing generality, specifically through: (a) Promoting the heritage and historical significance of Grant Lodge (b) Educating the general public about the heritage and historical significance of Grant Lodge (c) Restoring and improving Grant Lodge and its associated environs in order that they may function as community assets (d) Take regard of the disposition of George A Cooper of the College, Elgin.
