Annual Report 202312024 Trustees hairn￿n Treasurer, Yaine I he charity is an incorporated association whose purpose is- The Saving of Lives- Fundrdising to provide public access defibrillators and public trdining in Car(lio Pulmonary Resuscitation I CPR ) and the support to voluntary ljodies providing community fespondeT5 with the aim of saving lives by increasing survival rates followirE Cardiac AffesL The Board of T￿￿ee5 are appointed from the 5UPPOrters of the aiffs of the charity Balances will r#)t fall bekNv £5XKKJ to ensure routine repla￿ment of defibrillator pads and batteries as well as annual payment for third party inSurdn￿. No trustee has received any pawrntfor serrfices or expense5 from the charity. Operations The a55ociation undertakes fundraising from companies and the public as well as making infornial partnerships with local organisations to fund the project. The charity own5 all defibrillators and cabinets. A further 5 Public￿ AC￿Ssible Defibrillators installed in and around Helen5burg Most of our defibrilktor cabinets are unlocked with the exception of a few. The access code is clearly marked on the cabinets1159 X }. kottish Ambulance Service are aware of this. Our defibrillators are registered wÈth The Circuit. We are also looking at mapping all of our PADS. We regularly publicise installations vta press & social media. We have had to replace two of our ￿binet doors for Defibsafe 2 for coded l(xked doors due to vandalism. We continue to train around 5.IKH) members of the public in Hearts￿rtI￿briI1at0r AWaTer￿ annually. The Heartstart Training Diary is filling up with requests for training from across the community. We also have two new Heartstart Trainers and welcome members of the public who receive training to join our team. We also support the Good Sam inttiative between Save a Life for Scotland and Scotlish Ambulance. An App which (zn be put on your mobile phone and will COnt￿t you to assist to deliver CPR to someone who ha5 suffered cardiac arrest nearby. This supports Scottish Governments OHCA strntegy for Bystsnder cPR1￿briIIatoT Awareness. Heartart Traini￿ is ctrordinated by the Resuscitation Research Group. Edinburgh as a partner of a ￿fe for Scotland to teach members of the public what to do in a life-threatening emergency.
