ObJecllv•s
The organisation's purposes are:
to promote cricket as a participation sport open to all regardless of age.
gender. creed. colour. religion or ability.
to provide cricket coaching and training opportunities for those sections of
the community in Renfrewshire and surrounding areas who wish to play
cricket.
to promote the general health and wellbeing of individuals through their
participation in sport.
Acllvltles
The trustees are pleased to report the attendance of a satisfactory number of
children of all ages and adults who are interested in fitness and coaching. Once
again our summer cricket sessions were complimented by the success of "All Stars
Cricket" as provided by Ferguslie Cricket Club and actively supported by the
Foundation. The programme. which is organised by Cricket Scotland is proving to be
very successful. Its aim is "to inspire five to eight year olds to take up the sport through
a fun first experience of the game"
Rnanclal Revlew
The trustees are pleased to report the receipt of a number of grants during the year
which have helped improve the financial position of the Foundation. During the year
under review the Foundation applied for and was awarded a grant by Renfrewshire
Council Local Area Partnership. The trustees are indebted to the Council for its
continued support. Additional grants were received from the National Lottery West
Scotland Community Fund and the Corra Foundation and. again. the trustees are
indebted for the support given by these bodies.
The Receipts and Payments Account and related notes published on pages 6 and 7
shows the charity's financial position at 31 December 2024. The charity recorded a
surplus of £4,813 for the year compared with a deficit of £4.145 in 2023. The increase
in grant income meant that the Foundation was able to increase expenditure on
coaching and related costs. It is the trustees, intention to continue to provide as
much coaching resources as is required so long os sufficient funds are available.
The trustees will not enter into any specific financial commitments before relevant
grants are applied for and received and sufficient funds are available. On this basis
they are satisfied with the current financiol position of the Foundation, and with its
ability to continue to meet its objectives a5 detailed above.

Oullook
The trustees are pleased with the amount of grant funding received in 21Y24. However
they are well aware that this situation could change at any time so they continue
with their fundraising activities. seeking both grants and donations from organisations
and individuals to allow it to achieve its aim of growing interest in cricket as a sport
and of providing coaching and fitness sessions and, by doing so, help improve the
health and wellbeing of participants in Renfrewshire and surrounding areas.
The trustees formally approved this report on 9 September 2025.

3 Nature and Purpose of Funds
Unrestricted funds are those that may be used at the discretion of the trustees in furtherance of
the objects of the charity. The trustees maintain an unrestricted fund for the day to day running
of the charity.
Restiicted funds may only be used for specific purposes. Restrictions apply when specified by
the donor or when funds are raised for specific purposes. During the year to 31 December 2016
the charity received a grant of £500 from the Westem Recreational Trust towards the cost of
mobile practice cricket nets. To date £293 has been spent on the purchase of mobile nets.
Grants received in the current year have been treated as restricted funds as they had
conditions attaching to them. Not all monies were expended in the period, leaving £4.880 to
be carried foward.
