**What the charity does:** The charitable purposes of the organisation, as per the constitution, are 'to provide orchestral opportunities for young instrumentalists throughout Perth and Kinross, to advance, promote and encourage the study and practice of orchestral music amongst young instrumentalists and to promote and conduct concerts, lectures and other such educational enterprises as may tend to the attainment of any of the aims of the orchestra.'  We do this by providing opportunities in addition to those provided by Perth and Kinross Council, such as organising and funding additional concerts for the orchestra (e.g. venue hire, transport, additional musicians' costs) and providing and maintaining instruments.

**Objectives:** 4.1 to provide orchestral opportunities for young instrumentalists throughout Perth and Kinross with every freedom to enjoy the same. 4.2 to advance, promote and encourage the study and practice of orchestral music among young instrumentalists. 4.3 to promote and conduct concerts, lectures and such other educational enterprises as may tend to the attainment of any of the aims of the orchestra. 4.4 to do all such other things as are considered to be incidental or conducive to the attainment of the objects hereinbefore stated or any of them
