To provide amateur radio communications for the community, including Local Authorities, Category 1 Responders, and organisations that need radio communications to allow their events to be carried out safely.

Objectives: To assist the UK statutory and voluntary emergency and rescue services. public utilities. and the local and national government with emergency radio communications in times of need. To promote training to further the development of member's radio communication skills and abilities. To protect human life and property by providing radio safety communications for outdoor sporting events. The organisation is a not for profit organisation with all funds being used to further the purposes of the organisation in developing a coherent service to the community.
