The Bond's rnain objective is to advance local arts and ￿ltUre by encouraging and promoting tuillon
for people playing b￿$ and FercUsS￿n instruments and ensuring Ihe conts"nuation of the brass band
founded in Dalmellington in 1e84. The Band is a non-profft making organisation, all ￿KanIeS earned
afe reinvested providng cultural ad1v1t￿. developng Mus￿1 skills 01 Its rnembers, and provlding
r(ural heritage arKI entsnainff*nt to vari¢￿S a￿$[en￿ In the Doon Valley an¢ beyond.
Flnanclal R•vlthv
The net income for 2023 was £27219 and exwditure was £50104. Tre sources of incorre are
Donations from rremters and the public £6533, otherorganisations £1500, the Patrons, Scheme £4085
and Gift Aid ckgimed from HMRC fot donations from preV￿uS years. The incomè from Concerts, Events,
Contests. Fund Rasing Sa￿s of Merd)andise raised £8281. Inco￿¢ ncreasèj due to irtreased
acb'vities of the Band Fost bck down restrlctions.
The main expeTrJiture8 of the Band were attenthng the ScottLsh ChamFxonships in March, the Spring
Festival in May, ￿51 of Scotland contest in Aujust and the Scotlish Opwt in November. The Brass
Acade￿ also attended the Youth FestNal in Novernber. The BaM also hosle(1 th8 annual Sk>w Mel¢Jdy
contest and a Brass A&*emy Workshop in August
