Trustees Annual Report For the Year Ending 31st May 2026 The Trustees have pleasure in presenting their report together with the financial ststements and the independent examinerfs report forthe year ending 31st May 2026. It is govemed by iys constitution which was adopted on 24 September 2013 and last amended February 2015. The Group was granted charitable status by OSCR on 25th February 2015. Appointment of Trustees The Chairman, Treasurer/Secretary and Daily Co-ordinators were re-appointed Trustees by the Committee at the Annual General Meeting held on & August 2026. The Committee is made up of all the Volunteer Drivers in the Group. Page2of8
Management The Trustees are responsible for the strategic direction and governance of the group. The day-to-day running of the group is managed by our Daily Co-ordinators and our Treasurer who are all volunteers. All volunteer drivers have Disclosure Scotland under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups {PVG) Scheme. Driverfs Licences and Motor Insurance5 are regularly checked, and up-to-date copies are kept on file. Objectives & Activities Charitable Purpose To provide transport to and from medical appointments for the resident5 of Edzell and all patients registered with Edzell Health Centre who are unable to use other forms of transport due to health problems or public transport issues. Achievements and Performance This year we achieved 74 journeys. Many of the journeys are long journeys from Edzell. For example - to Dundee, Arbroath and Stonehaven. We also take patients to local Covid Vaccination Centres. Dentists. Opticians and Podiatrists as well as to the local doctors, surgery. For example- to Brechin, Stracathro and Montrose. Our aim is to reduce the number of home visits requested, especially from the elderly and to reduce the number of missed appointments due to transport issues. We have been able to fulfil all appropriate requests, and we receive lots of positive feedback Currently we have 12 volunteer drivers. We are always looking for new volunteer drivers to enable us to maintain the serrfice. Most of our drivers have attended a Heart Start/First Aid training course and been given defibrillator instructions. Page3of8
Financial Review The opening balance on l June 2025 was £3,562.47 and an acceptable closing balance on 31 May 2026 was £3,440.00. This has been achieved by receiving £1,877.00 from patient donations and a generous donation from Mr D Forbes (deceased), which covered most of our costs for the year. Our payment expenses totslled £1,999.47, which covered mileage costs, insurance and charity donation costs. Drivers were paid the statutory 45p per mile. Future Planning There is a real need for this service in the village because of our rural location. lack of buses and cutbacks on the ambulance service in the area. The Trustees, policy is to maintain a healthy bank account to allow this worthwhile service to continue and develop in the village and surrounding area. Another priority is to recruit new volunteer drivers to enable us to maintain the sep4ice. The Committee still have concerns regarding "Patient Drop Off and "Parkin difficulties at Ninewells Hospital. and agreed at the AGM that further discussions are required with the H05Pltal Representatives, in an attempt to solve/improve the situation. Notes- Accounts forthe Period Ending 31 May 2026 l Basis of Accounting These accounts have been prepared on the Receipts & Payments basis in accordance with the Charities & Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006 (as amended) 2 Nature and Purpose of Funds Funds are unrestricted and used at the discretion of the Trustees and Committee to further the objectives of the charity 3 Related Party Transactions Mileage claims totalling £558.45 were paid to two Trustees during the year to cover 19 No. mainly long-distsnce journeys (Dundee and Arbroath etc). The Group insurance policy includes Combined Public/Employer Liability for the Trustees. No other remuneration was paid to the Charity Trustees during this financial period. Page5of8

INDEPENDENT EXAMINEWS REPORT ON THE ACCOUNTS Edzell Communlty Health Transport Charity Number- SC045448 Period- Istjune 2025 to 31st May 2026 Independent Examinerfs Report to the Trustees of Edzell Community Health Transport I report on the financial statements of the charity for the period from l June 2025 to 31" May 2026. Respective Responsibilities of the Trustees and the Examiner The charivs trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the terms of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 ( Yhe 2005 ACY ) and the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006 {as amended) ('The 2006 Regulations"). The charity trustees consider that the audit requirement of Regulation 10(I)(d} of the 2006 Regulations does not apply. It is my responsibilityto examine the accounts as required under Section (44)(11 of the 2005 Act and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention. Basis of the Independent Examinerfs Statement My examination is carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the 2006 Regulations. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeks explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and consequently, I do not express an audit opinion on the view given in the accounts.
