**Purposes:** 'the advancement of education','the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended'

**What the charity does:** We own and maintain a variety of boats and encourage members of the community, of all ages, to use them. We organise courses of instruction in sailing. We run a motorhome aire and use the profits from this to pay our expenses and to make charitable donations to local groups. We also allow local groups to use our clubhouse for their meetings.

**Objectives:** To provide facilities and instruction for those who wish to learn skills associated with boat handling. To pass on traditional boat building skills in order to preserve them for future generations. To facilitate the acquisition of boat building, boat maintenance and boat handling skills to members of the community who wish to acquire them. To promote and encourage fellowship and friendship within the community.
