Chairs report: intimated that Kintyre Foodbank had another busy year and that KFB had welcomed 8 new volunteers which is a great addition to the charity. Ilene thanked all the committee members and volunteers for their hard work and continued support to KFB. Throughout this last year The Foodbank has supported 929 adults and 456 children in food poverty in our local communities. In total 760 food parcels have been distributed to those accessing our local foodbank. It is only with the support of local business’, local people, public organisations and our volunteers that we are able to assist so many people. Ilene stated, since January, less food and financial donations have been made. Over the past six months, KFB has undoubtedly benefited from the cinema donations from the Cans Film Festival. Ilene indicated that these donations have ended, thus KFB will be investing additional funds to restock the shelves for the rest of this year. Although it is hoped that The Cinema would take this form of assistance into consideration again, in order to guarantee financial stability for the upcoming year, funding applications must be continued whenever possible. Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the tenns of the Charities and Tn￿tee Investn]ent (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulatlons 2006 (as arnended). The charity trusiees consider that the audit requirement of Regulation 10(1 ) (d) of the 2006 Accounts Regulations does not apply. It 15 rny responsibility to examine the accounts as required under section 44(1) (c) of the Act and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention. Basis of independent examiner's statement My examination is carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts. and seeks explanations from the trustees concernin8 any such mauers.
