St Andrews Environmental Network (StAndEN) is a community-rooted charity based in Fife, working to reduce carbon emissions, tackle fuel poverty, and enable sustainable living. As a registered Scottish charity and company limited by guarantee, we deliver practical environmental solutions that improve lives, protect the planet, and strengthen community resilience. Our charitable purpose is to advance environmental protection, relieve poverty and hardship (particularly fuel poverty), and promote sustainable living through advice, education, and community action. We achieve this by: Providing free, impartial energy advice and small energy-saving installations that help households cut costs and emissions. Operating reuse, recycling, and refill projects that reduce waste, support people in crisis, and normalise sustainable consumption. Delivering environmental education and training that build knowledge, skills, and green employability pathways. Restoring green spaces.

Objectives: 3. Company Objects: The Company has been formed to benefit the interests of the Community, with the Purposes listed in the sub-articles hereto below, to be exercised following the principles of sustainable development ( where sustainable development means development which meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs), namely: 3.1 3.1.1 to advance health and well being by tackling the causes of fuel poverty and reducing energy bills for residents and businesses in the operating area. 3.1.2 to promote and support the reduction of the carbon footprint of the Community and the surrounding area. 3.1.3 to advance environmental protection and improvement by improving energy efficiency within the Community and the surrounding area. 3.1.4 to advance education on environmental issues and energy efficiency, particularly among the residents and businesses of the Community. and 3.1.5 the provision of recreational facilities within the Community, or the organisation of recreational activities within Community, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the residents and businesses of the Community.
