Activities - Achievements and Performance 5.1 A new Communit Cinema for Paisle Town Centre-"PXLS": Our flagship project is for the creation of a Digital Community Hub, Digital Skills Academy and Digital Screening Rooms I Cinema called 'PXLS'. PXLS is about reconnecting socially isolated individuals, providing support to families with children with special needs, skilling up our young people for employment, delivering much needed footfall for traders in the town, and providing leisure led entertainment that meets the Low Carbon requirements of the '20-rninute neighbourhood., A High Street location was identified as the preferretl location a old Littlewoods store). (Bargain b¥Jy5- the 5.2 Levellin Funding of £15,600 was awarded by Renfrewshire Councll (formally on 3rd June 20211 to submit an application to the UK Government's Levelling Up Fund for tapital funding in relation to the PXLS projert. Deadline for applications was 12pm on 18, June 2021. PCT appointed Lambert Smith Hampton ILSHI to complete this work to the value of the Erant award. A full and robust application with associated reference and supporting matèrials was completed by LSH in consultation with PCT. The project was supported by our MP as is a requirement of thefund. Unfortunately, the Council refused to submit the application to the UK government for scrutiny and the PXLS project and PCT had to Stall and reflert on what to do next. 5.3 Chat Show During the period of COVID 19 lockdown PCT en media a weekly chat show - h05ted b house or hut! ed with the local community through online rom the comfort of their The chat show included guest appearances, inteNiews and live entertainment from a wide and varied background to tell their story, entertain and inform in a relaxed, friendly and light hearted format. Guests included Partnership and Chair of Paisley First and local restaurateur, Chief Officer at Scotland's Towns The Star Project, the Tov Bank, Mirren Football Club and Charitable Foundation, PACE Theatre, Charlefton DrummerWrn Singer Songwritend Paisley'5 own Spoken word poet Paisley Magic Circle treated the audience to 3 live online magic show which was amazing as was live c(ioking slots, a real treatl "question of the week" where we would ask what the community's view was on relevant local topics. There was even a pub night when we hosted a quiz and Karaoke, all online. Page 4
Paisley Community Trust It was also an extra privilege to welcome Santa Clause, who dropped in for o very special Christmas show. Many. many more community group leaders and activists joined us on the show to let Us know about their organisations. activities and what was happènirbg in Paisley. There are too many to list here. We would like to place on record our sincere thanks to everyone who contributed as guests or joined us to watch the show live and comment online. The atjdience joined us every Wednesday from as far and wide as Canada, America, Australia and more locally, just around the corner in Foxbar. Paisley. The show stopped broadcasting after Its 61st show in June 2021. All episodes are avallable on our YouTube channel and social media archive. 6. Financial review Trading has been in relation to activities associated with the Levelling Up Fund and associated activity. £15,600 received and paid out to Lambert Smith Hampton. 6.1 Reserves olic At bank. close of business 31.03.2022- PCT'S finance position was noted as £2,077 7. The trustees maintain a single unrestricted fund for the day-to-day running of the charity. Restricted funds may only be used for specific purposes.
