Achievements and performance

Summary of the rnain achievements of Key Bump. Baby and Beyond achievements:
the ¢harity durlng the finan¢ial period
The board and volunteers have focused much of this year on reviewing
our financial systems. updating our website, expanding our volunteer base
and updating our rented room space with tidying and outdoor signage.
Ev8nts
Our volunteers assisted with running a Buy, bye, baby preloved
sale event in November lo help promote the sales of preloved
items and raise money for local charities
We continued to provide our free family pit slop lent at local
events including the Dumfn"es Agricultural Show and the Galloway
County Fair in August

6 new trustees were recruited.
4 new volunteers were recruited, one volunteer was able to set up

groups with limited success and do a stock lake and tidy of our

Partnerships
Having supported the Bounce and Rhyme Toddler Group for a
number of years in lems of being an umbrella organisation for
them, their volunteers have found another local charity within their
building lo lake over. Bounce and Rhyme were financially
independent of Bump, baby and beyond and operated their own
petty cash system. They decided to make a donation to Bump,
baby and beyond and this was banked in the following financial
year ofJanuary 2025.

promote breastfeeding and general parenting advi￿, developed a parent
led sales thread and business thread to help keep our main page focused
on parenting related issues
Dumfries BBB Breasrfeeding Group
- We were unable lo gel volunteer commitment for regular sessions and
ad hoc sessions were not well attended, but the group has contsnued to
operate via an online plafform and maintain link5 Wlth the region wide NHS
breastfeeding support cmrdinatots and a local independent lactslion
consultant.
- A rrM)nthly face to face group based in Annan due lo volunteer availability
and poor coverage east of the region was successful

- Our sling library cbsed for the year due to lack of volunteer availability
Babes in the Woods
DelNered approximatety 30 weekly outdoor play sessions. much lower
attendanee numbers and no new volunteers recruited
Dumfries Nappy Llbrary
-Delivered 10 clolh nappy meets but only 1 nappy krt hired over the year
with free advice and kits given to 10 attendees
-The evening nappy libraries also had low attendance
-No new volunteers recruited. onty hvo volullteers for the majority of the
year
Bounce N Rhyrne Toddler group
-weekly baby and to(Jdler group contsnue to run with most sessions
booked out. They continue to operate with their own petty cash system
and forward receipts periodiealty. The group operate under our umbrella
organisalion to avoid the burden of Current volunteers setting up their own
charity.
-the volunteers undertake regular fvndraising and charge a small weekly
attendance fee lo cover hall rent and snacks as they operate in a different
buikling to our rented room
