Structure, Governance and Management
Constitulion
The Charity is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (a SCIOI. It was registered on 22 August
2014. It has a Single tier strurture and as such the trustee5 are the members of the charity.
Appolntment of trustees
Trustees are appointed by the current trustees on the basis of unanlmous agreement. The minimum
number of trustees is three. Trustees must hold to the Ststement of Faith contained within the
Constitution as their personal profession of faith.

CharEtable purposes
The preventlon and relief of poverty. the advancementof educatlon. the advancementof the Christian
rellgion and the relief of those in need by reason of age. ill health, financial hardship or other
disadvantage. Without prejudice to the foregoing generality. the Charitvs primary area of artivity is
intended to be South East Asia.

The main activlties of the charity during the perlod were".
the organlsation and funding of theological training in South East Asia.

Financial review

Donations are the main source of fund ngfor the charity- Expenditure exceeded general donations by
£9,334 in the year.
Reserve5 PolKy
The main cornmitments against the general fund are publication costs. The unrestrKted funds reserve
reialned al 31 August 2024 was assessed a5 required to meet on-going commitments in the new year.
Plans for future perlod.
The trustees intend, God willin& to continue to support the training of theological studerts and the
publication of Christian literature for oistrlbution in South East Asia.

I report on the accounts of the charity for the year ended 31 August 2023 which are set out on pages

Re5pectlve responslbllltles of trustees and examlner
The ¢hariWs trustees are responsible forthe preparatlon of the accounts In accordance with the tem5
of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotlandl Act 2￿5 and the Charities Accounts (Scotlandl
Regulations 2ChJ6. The charity trustee5 consider that the audit requirement of Regulation 10111 Idl of
the 2C(J6 Accounts Regulations does not apply. It is my res￿nsIbIlity to examlne the accounts as
required under sectlon 44111 Icl of the Act and to State whether particular matters have come to mv
attention.
Basls of Independent examlnerfs statement
My examination Ss carried out In accordance with Regulation 11 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations. An
examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the
accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or
dlsclosures In the accounts, and seeks explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters.
The procedures undertaken do not provide oll the evldence that would be required in an audit. and
consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the view glven by the accounts.

In the course of my examination. no matter has come to my attention.
which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements:
To keep accounting records in accordance with Section 44111 lal of the 2005 Act and
Regulation 4 of the 2C(16 Accounts Regulations.
To prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with
Regulation 9 of the 2OJ6 Accounts Regulations

These accounts have been prepared on the Receipts and Payments basis in accordan￿ with the
Charities & Trustees Investment Iscotlandl Att 2CK)5 and the Charities Accounts Iscotlandl

2. Nature and purpose of funds
Unrestrlcted funds are those that may be used at the discretion of the trustees in furtherance of
the objects of the charity- The trustees maintain a single unrestrirted lund for the day-to4av
runnin8 of the charity.
Restricted funds may only be used for specific purposes. Restrictlons arise when specified by the
donor or when funds are raised for specific purposes. During the year the charity received
donations of nil12023 £10) specifically for the translation and publication of literature.
