The charity also wns these services and manages a group of volunteers to provide this. Summary of maln achlevements Another strong yearfor Community Transport East Renfrewshire with all aspects of the charity remaining busy. Medical Appointments from Aprll 2024- March 2025 remained high with 51ight growth from previous year at 2453 appointments being booked by residents of East Renfrewshlre. This equates to 4906 single journeys. Ourvolunteer drivers for medical appointments covered over 39,016 miles and dedicated over 3966 hours driving patlents to over 62 various hospitals and GP surgeries in the greater Glasgow area and beyond. New referrals to the medical appointment servl remained high at 188. Our afternoon tea5 at Barrhead Resource Centre have remained popular and attendance has increased from the prevlous year with new members coming along to meet new friends and socialise. We held 33 afternoon teas where 272 residents In the Barrhead and Neilston area have attended. Our fantastic group of volunteers who facilitate this service by driving the buses, escortlng resldents on/off the buses, servin8 tea, cleaning up, shopping and much more have dedicated over 1200 hours to making our afternoon teas a huge success. We had a fantastic Halloween afternoon tea and members got to listen to some original poems from one of our fabulous members bringing back memories of Halloween in the "8ood old days" Over the last few years, we have noticed a lack of male members attending our afternoon teas so in a bid to tackle this we introduced a men's only afternoon tea in February 2025 which has gone from strength to strength. Local men from Barrhead and Neilston have come along and have been enjoying soclallsing with new people and meeting up with old friends. We have plenty of Interest for this group and hope to see it continually grow. Our Bus Hires have remained steady from previous year wlth 8 local community groups hiring our vehicles for 11 outings which have included The Kelpies, Blair Drummond Safari Park and Largs. We only have one bus driver for these hires, and he has covered a massive 492 mile5 transporting these groups for a fantastic day out. To enable us to maintain this 8reat success across the charity we have been on the lookout for new volunteers for both the medical appointments and driving our vehlcles. At the beginnin8 of 2025 we

Registered Charity Number: SC045068 Community Transport East Renfrewshire SCIO Report of the Trustees For the Year Ended 31 March 2025 went out to all the local GP surgeries in East Renfrewshire updating them on our referral process for medical appointments as well as putting up posters to try and recruit new volunteers. We have successfully recruited 4 new volunteers since doing this and hope more will follow. The charlty reserve policy The charity held funds at 31st March 2025 of £50,876, last financial year {£55,0611, no restricted funds. It is the policy of the charity to maintain the unrestricted funds not committed I'the free reserves'l at a level to support 3 months operational activity (£16,822). The Board consider that the current level of free reserves is adequate but is always considering ways of achieving additional income. The Trustees are also aware of the necessity to have a realistic reserve figure for vehicle repairs and/or replacement. Designated funds Vehicle repairsl replacement (£25,000) Expected increase in medical appointments (£7.500) Donated facilities and services Parking space is made available for the two minibuses at Barrhead Health Centre and the East Renfrewshire Council garage in Thornliebank. Servicing of vehicles and drawing of fuel at East Renfrewshire Transport Depot to enable us to get better value for money. Principal Funding Sources Our main funders are Health and Social Care Partnership and Strathclyde Passenger Transport, we receive year on year funding from both stakeholders which is spread across 2 financial years. Additional Information East Renfrewshire is an area that is 80% rural and 20°/o Urban, public transport is expensive if you live in the rural areas and there is limited transport from one side of the authority to the other. This not only makes it difficult to attend medical appointments for those that are disadvantaged in some way as the figure in performance suggest the service is well used by the residents of East Renfrewshire. As older residents find it difficult to stay connected with friends and their local community, we will continue to offer the afternoon teas, to help older residents remain connected by having things to do and people to see. Social interaction is equally as important as medical interventions.

Cornrnuni Transport£R Annual Re ort 202 -202 After 25 years since I started the charity it has gone from strength to strength with the efforts from ourfantastic volunteers and ourfantastic residents in East Renfrewshire who continually use our services. 2024125 has been another great year. Our transport to medical appointments service has remained ever popular as well as bus hires for local community groups. Our real success story of the past year is our afternoon teas. Coming out of the pandemic our groups were small and attendance low, however over the last year we have seen our group sizes get bigger with more members attending and new membersjoining. We noticed our groups were predominantly made up of women and not very men attended our afternoon teas, so in a bid to tackle this, we introduced a men's only group at the beginning of the year which has gone from strength to strength. Local men from Barrhead and Neilston have come along and have been enjoying socialising with new people and meeting up with old friends. We have plenty of interest forthis group and hope to see it continually grow. We celebrated our fantastic volunteer 60th Birthday. years and has been a huge help and friendly face within our organisation. We had a fabulous time celebrating with him and want to wish him all the best in his new home. has volunteered with us for over 6 We wantto say a huge thankyou to H5CP (Health and Social Care Partnership) and SPT (Strathclyde Partnership for Transport) who have continued to fund our project.
