Accounts 202&2025
This was a very sad year in that due to massive charrfJes at Huntsffs Quay HdKlay Village which
increased the site cost but more imp<xtanlly the prices of activiti'es on site which would take it OLrt crf
most of our guests price range. The biggest chang8 was the site was to no longer be a year-round
open site but reduced to seasonal use only. The caravan could be used but without any facilities
onsite outwith seag)nal periods which again was useless to our lovely guests.
During the year less than half the amount of guests we normalty provide holidays for where able to
afford to come either through illness of the sick child and being readmitted to hospital or the actual
cost of srte activities. We had decided to give a small help towards the cost of fun activities to the
families who did manage to come.
We hdd a dinner dance to thank our regular supporters and volunteers on Saturday 14th Decemb
2024 as everyone gave their time and energy free all these years. During the dinner dance we
surprised one of our volunteers with 50 grfts for a local chlldren's Christmas paty she was hold ing
forkids who had never had a paty before. Strangely an extra present was added last minute makirg
it 51 grfts. Our volunteer phoned the next evening to say they had onty expected 50 kids but an extra
kld arrived and she was so relleved that the extra grft was there. We also donated food and deco
ratK>ns towards the children's paty makirKJ it a fantastic way to end Cathleen's Cabin.
There Is a local charity that grows fixNJ that they donate to an adult care home for people sufferirg
from dementia but also sell at cost to local familie
encourage locals young and old to help with this
hdping to keep young kids healthy. They also
onderful grow your own food project. We intend
to donate any monies we have left to this great cause.
Thank you all for your wonderful support.
