Trustees Annual Report for the Financial Year ending 30 June 2021
The trustees have pleasure in submitting their report for the year ended 30 June 2021.
Objectives
The objectives of the charity are:

To advance education and educational play by providing indoor and outdoor learning opportunities.

To run activities within a stimulating, nurturing environment to encourage community cohesion and improve health and well being of beneficiaries.

where activities normally take place, closed its doors at the end of March 2020 and has yet to reopen.
Main Activities of Buddy's Field SCIO during the Financial Year
During the initial period all activities ceased due to lockdown restrictions. Since easing of restrictions, range and frequency of activities remains affected however every attempt has been made to deliver on Buddy's Field objectives.

Children negatively impacted by school closures were educationally and emotionally supported first remotely and then within individual 'bubble' sessions.

These sessions last approximately three hours and a 'whole child' approach adopted.

In addition to Language and Maths support, activities included:
Establishing, planting and harvesting a garden.
Cooking and compiling recipes in a Lockdown Recipe Book.
Exploration walks.
Craft activities.
Adult sewing and craft awaits the reopening of premises.
Contact has been maintained with beneficiaries and all are eager to return. If StBridgets remains closed for the foreseeable future, other venue options will be explored.
Responsibilities of the Trustees
Charity Law requires the trustees to produce accounts that give a true and fair view of the state of the affairs of the charity and of its income and expenditure for the financial year. In doing so the trustees are required to:

Select suitable accounting policies and apply them consistently.

Make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent.

Prepare the accounts on a going concern basis unless it is appropriate to presume that the company will continue to operate.
Trustees are responsible for maintaining proper accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time, the financial position of the charity and to enable them to ensure that the accounts comply with the Charities Act of 1993. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.
