**What the charity does:** Glenurquhart Highland Gathering and Games organises, promotes and runs the annual Glenurquhart Highland Gathering and Games in Drumnadrochit each August.  We actively encourage local people, visitors and athletes and musicians from further afield to take part.   Through our promotion of the event and on the day itself,  we help people to appreciate the history and traditions underpinning the various events and entertainments at the games.  We award grants/donations to charities, organisations, activities and/or projects which advance citizenship or community development in the parishes of Abertaff, Glenmoriston, Glenurquhart, Kiltarlity, Kilmorack and Kirkhill.

**Objectives:** - to advance public participation in sport by organising, promoting and running the annual Glenurquhart Highland Gathering & Games in the village of Drumnadrochit. and to advance knowledge and understanding of the heritage and culture of Scotland through an appreciation of the histrory and tradition of the sporting and other activities at highland games. - and to support by way of grant or otherwise any charity, organisation, activity or project which advances citizenship or community development within the Area of Benefits as defined below.
