**Purposes:** &#x27;the advancement of health&#x27;,&#x27;the advancement of public participation in sport&#x27;,&#x27;the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended&#x27;

**What the charity does:** To provide sporting activity in the  form of rugby for young people aged 7  - 18 years to improve their health and fitness and mental well being in an inclusive and safe environment

**Objectives:** The Trustees shall hold the Trust Fund and the income of it to pay and apply the same to or for the benefit of or in furtherance of the advancement of public participation in sport, the advancement of health, and the organisation of recreational activities with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the activities are primarily intended, and in particular (but without limitation) may do so by:- (a) Encouraging and promoting interest in, and providing or supporting the provision of opportunities for playing, Rugby Football (according to the rules of the Scottish Rugby Union) for young people in the town of Langholm and the surrounding localities in an inclusive manner which provides equal opportunities for playing in a friendly and supportive atmosphere, and which aims to improve the fitness and health of the participants while attracting young people to sport in a safe and inclusive environment. (b) Promoting the values of fitness, team-work, respect, discipline, friendship, sportsmanship, confidence, social interaction and inclusion, the learning of new skills and practices and other important personal life-skills, and providing an environment, facilities and activities which will allow young people to develop their physical and mental capacities in order to grow to full maturity as responsible individuals and members of society and which will discourage negative behaviour and improve employability. and (c) Supporting such similar or related activities as shall further charitable purposes or charitable institutions in such proportions and manner as the Trustees shall think fit.
