2013 Trustees Annual Report For the year ended 5th Aprll 2023 The trustees have pleasure in presenrine their report togetherwith the financial smementsand the irbjependent eKarninerfs report fortheyea¥ Ènded 5th April 2023 Introdurtion In September 2012 before Outpost Charity was even thought of. arb idea was put forward to tsFoundw ￿ll0f walking Inverness to Ullapool for charity- In Marth 2013. the eventwent ahead and long with her pailnei/C FoundCr￿deCided not on￿woUld they carry out the event but they would Invite otheT5 to I￿n them. They decided a military based charily wa5 what they wanted io fundraise for. wluch was a cause close to their hearts. Thèy chose a charity and a communitygioup Ito provide sUp￿rt IcKallyl and the oiBani5ation began. This took several months but 500n the Au8USt 2013 arrived and although it was a lor￿ aNJ arduou5 even( it was a huge success. 28 people took part and between them thw ratsed over£7.4￿. Shortly after completing the walk ￿ealiSed the pKJtential that this e4Tent had to help other chèrrt1è5 and rai awareness in the community and so they made the event an ￿r￿jaI walk. They began researching several military chariries and local group5 for whom t￿¥ could support in the coming years along wilh thè support each one provtded. They swn ￿alIsed that ahhough tr￿Te are several military tharities throughout the UK, there were few in the Highlands and more support could be provided in areas which were not already betng covere(L After much deliberat)n they decided that becominga charity was the way forw¥d to enablè tlwn to proV￿e support for our servicemen and women. ¥etèrans and their families. IM)wever they felt that keepin8 the annual ¥rdlk was a great way to provide wider support through other tharities and in areasthey WQLld not co¥w. Over the nexi few months they researche(l. compkned lorms and e¥entualty obtaIr￿ charitable status with OSCR and was incorporated on (X April 2014. About the Char. WÈ a￿ a small military charity based in the 5￿ttl$h Highlands however we do provide sUp￿rt throughoLrt the UK. Our work is aimed at supporting the Ar[r￿d Forces Community from any èra. conflict. serv￿ or a8e and theÉr families. We hève defifted support to emotionally, socially and praclicalty help people throu8h activities. events. programs and general dally lile suprx)rt. The support we provldè is based on sew-hdp. Indepe￿Ien￿ and sotial integration all of whith ran provide the beneficiary the basic skills and confidence to support themsdvesaThJ to improvetheir own conditK)ns of lrfe at home or work. We use tried and tested alternativetherapy concepts such as Wilderne55. Nature 3ndArt to support beneficiarie5 which providesa positive char£e in combination wfth thetr standafd therapies. We tdke the time ro Ilsten and do our very best to hÈlp and probrydefast * dirert SUFPXt where 15 rt needed. Our volvnteers are passionate a￿ut everything we do and we dedicate as mtsch of our spare timea5 we can to help those who made sacrifiw on our behajf and their famil￿. In October 2022 we were nominated in the Personable category of the For the People Awards 2022 and Shortly after shortlisted. sadly we did not get through as finalists however it was fantastic to be nominated. This shows we arè growing and working in a manner that is positive. provmling benefit and that work is ￿1r4 recogntsed. This year we were able to run 6 Veierarts Camps with over 90 places bw.ng alsocated in total which has Len o busiest year to date. WTrth an ever 8rOWi￿ list of registratK)r6 the camps are becomingeven more powlar and volunteer numbers are irKreasin£ to suP￿rt the camps. November 2022 the Veterans Campwas trialled at our winter location bui with new excitin8 activities, whKh wasfanta5tic. Artivities irKluded go kartin& zip lining. ice skating, escape rooms, wildlife park and more. The feedb¥k from ihe camp atlendees was extremehf Positive and we hope to return theii next year and continue todo so as part of the on8oing camp

The new syston works extremelywell and will help the charity in its long term aims and through its expansion pkins of modemi5ing systems. In additon we also recleved the final balan￿ of theArn￿￿ Forces C¢)¥enaTrt Fu￿1 Trust Grant of £1,750- Note 9 to the accounts has been induded to show expenditu￿$ from the funding which was predominantty recewed last year and some funds In the ajrrent year. We a￿ extrerne￿th￿kFul to all grant woviders for ￿1r SUPPDrta5 these 8rants have helpèd us expand as a charity and continue to provide supwrt while meeting WKTeased demand. all in all making a signifrtant drfferen￿ to the lives of whom we support. An amazing 95% of payments made from the account were paid out on Charitsb￿ actsvr(ie5 t￿ough the provision of necessities supplies and/orse￿I￿5, pro8rams such as the Veterars Camp. general support and some equipment. Where fvnds were and were not tharrftèl￿e purwJ5es it was for other Operatir￿ costs and fundraising.
