We largely support a Ugandan based charity - Kitega Community Centre - in terms of prevention and relief of poverty, education, provision of health care and employment training. Over the last 2/3 years we have been working with Kitega to develop its financial self-sufficiency. This strategy was based on sound international aid practice and is in keeping with Kitega's emphasis on the VICOBA model (Village Community Banking). The move towards financial self-sufficiency is all the more essential in view of the reduction in UK foreign aid and the complete axing of US Aid. Kitega has strong links with other East African countries and the loss of foreign aid to East Africa has had immediate and devastating effects. The GF3 also assists local Charities with small donations of finance, food etc. The only campaigning has been for the Scottish Child Abduction Reform (SCAR).", "objectives": "The organisation is established for charitable purposes only, and in particular, the objects are: 4.1 the prevention and relief of poverty. 4.2 the advancement of education and learning . 4.3 the promotion of health and wellbeing . 4.4 the relief of those in need by reason of youth, age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage, and 4.5 any other charitable purpose.", "charitable_objects": null, "classifications": [], "main_operating_location": "South Ayrshire", "geographical_spread": "UK and overseas", "areas_of_operation": [], "latest_income": 24276, "latest_expenditure": 4684, "fin_period_start": null, "fin_period_end": "2025-03-31", "financial_years": [{"start": null, "end": "2025-03-31", "income": 24276, "expenditure": 4684, "assets": null, "funds": null, "num_employees": 0, "accounts_url": "https://files.opencharities.uk/sc/SC044789/2025-03-31-accounts.pdf", "accounts_md_url": "/sc/SC044789/files/2025-03-31-accounts.md"}, {"start": null, "end": "2024-03-31", "income": 29917, "expenditure": 24023, "assets": null, "funds": null, "num_employees": 0, "accounts_url": null, "accounts_md_url": null}, {"start": null, "end": "2023-03-31", "income": 3826, "expenditure": 36785, "assets": null, "funds": null, "num_employees": 0, "accounts_url": null, "accounts_md_url": null}, {"start": null, "end": "2022-03-31", "income": 1727, "expenditure": 10239, "assets": null, "funds": null, "num_employees": 0, "accounts_url": null, "accounts_md_url": null}, {"start": null, "end": "2021-03-31", "income": 21661, "expenditure": 45514, "assets": null, "funds": null, "num_employees": 0, "accounts_url": null, "accounts_md_url": null}], "documents": [], "trustees": []}
