The SDS Forum East Renfrewshire provides social care information and advice to residents of East Renfrewshire. We aim to ensure that all individuals, particularly those with an entitlement to funding from the local authority for their care, are informed of self-directed support to enable choice, control and flexibility over the support they receive. We offer 1 to 1 and group assistance, an option one (direct payment) brokerage/ budget management service, training workshops and information sharing opportunities, PA recruitment advice, person centred planning and general help to navigate your self-directed support journey.

Beneficiaries: 'People with disabilities or health problems'

Objectives: 1.1. To enable individuals who may use health and social care support to have their voices heard and influence the development of policies that have an impact on their lives, as local and national levels. 1.2. To share information that relates to self-directed support, to enable individuals and their carers to promote their well-being. 1.3.To develop the strengths and abilities of people contributing to the organisation. 1.4. To encourage and promote peer support among disabled people and others using health and social care services. 1.5. To encourage partnership working with other voluntary and statutory organisations interested in self-directed support.
