AFCCT provides support and opportunity to change lives for the better. It uses the love of football and passion for AFC to inspire and empower participants, to maximise their potential through two key themes: 1. Education & Positive Destinations 2. Football, Health & Wellbeing The Trust reaches people of all ages with its work in schools through to its support of the active ageing groups. Its school programming helps to close the poverty-related attainment gap supporting learning in numeracy, literacy, and STEM. Mindful of the importance of physical wellbeing, it activates young people through providing football opportunities from primary school, girls’ football, holiday camps, to development pathways. Health & Wellbeing programmes support active ageing participants, including those to live well with dementia. It helps those facing struggles associated with the cost of living e.g the Pittodrie Community Hub. All AFCCT programmes aim to improve physical and mental wellbeing
