We deliver independent advocacy services in South Lanarkshire for people affected by learning disabilities and people with a physical disability who also have a communication need.
Beneficiaries: 'Children or young people','Older People','People with disabilities or health problems'
Objectives: 4.1 to advance citizenship and community development through supporting people affected by mental, learning or physical disability, illness or impairment:- 4.1.1.1 to express their views, needs and choices. 4.1.1.2 by providing impartial, independent information regarding available choices. 4.1.1.3 to have more of a say in the decisions which affect their lives. 4.2 to promote equality by:- 4.2.1.1 assisting individuals in verbal and written communications with education authorities, benefit agencies, local authorities, employers, the providers of medical care services and all other organisations where such assistance is required. 4.2.1.2 assisting individuals in verbal and written communications and providers of goods and services including banks, building societies and all other commercial organisations. and 4.2.1.3 enabling people who have a learning disability to live their lives as independently as possible. 4.3 to promote the advancement of education by providing access to information to enable people who have a learning disability to make informed decisions about their lives.
