**Purposes:** &#x27;the prevention or relief of poverty&#x27;,&#x27;the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended&#x27;,&#x27;the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage&#x27;

**What the charity does:** Our activities throughout the year included fundraising and organizing various charity events. Funds raised were used to hold Free Eye Camps. The charity held its first Free Eye Camp in a rural area of Kashmir in October 2014, whereby 300 to 350 patients were screened, and 39cataract surgeries were carried out. During the year the charity held a total of 19 free eye camps against 17 last year an increase of 2 (11°/+) in Azad Jammu &amp; Kashmir and Pakistan. A total of 5,767 individuals were screened against5,374last year an increase of 393 (7%) with1,314 successful surgeries undertaken against1,401 last year a decrease of 87 (6/), with2,400 patients provided with reading glasses compared to2,542 last year a decrease of142 (6°/») and provided prescription glasses to 178 individuals.

**Beneficiaries:** &#x27;Older People&#x27;,&#x27;People with disabilities or health problems&#x27;

**Objectives:** To relieve poverty, sickness and to promote the health benefit internationally and in particular the  inhabitants of the Azad Kashmir and district area of Mirpur and its environs and Greater Glasgow (hereinafter described as “the area of benefit”) without distinction of age, sex, race, political, religious or other opinion, by associating with the statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance health and to provide facilities in the interest of social welfare, for recreation or other leisure-time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life and health for the said inhabitants
