**What the charity does:** A study in 2020 revealed that 21% of households in Dundee lack access to a private garden. Green spaces are scarce especially for less affluent communities. Our charity helps those who have a range of capabilities, those who have retired, people suffering personal loss, people in recovery and many who are keen to access nature to improve or maintain their health & wellbeing. In the face of the climate crisis and food insecurity Ninewells Community Garden is seen by its users as critical for sustainability and community action. The close proximity to Ninewells Teaching hospital offers staff a space for relaxation and contemplation. Patients in the hospital have a view from their hospital window and the outreach Ninewells Community garden do in hospital courtyards mean patients can see the moving, changing landscape which provides comfort in a time of distress. With the community of the hospital and wider community of the city & beyond it's a space to connect with nature.

**Objectives:** The mission of the Ninewells Communit Garden is to promote physical activity and good health through community gardening in an environment where horticulture supports wellbeing and can also support therapy and rehabilitation. Within this mission, we strive to provide an inclusive environment where our volunteers and service users can share and learn more about the benefits of gardening.
