Romano Lav (Roma Voice) was established to challenge racism, discrimination, and disadvantage experienced by Roma communities in Glasgow. Steered by the voices of Roma communities, the principle of empowering Roma, and Roma youth and women in particular, underpins all of our work. Our core objectives are: • to support Roma communities to realise their rights, via grassroots community education programmes and campaigns. • to evidence social inequalities and barriers to realising rights, by co-producing large-scale community research led by Roma youth • to challenge inequalities, via evidence-based advocacy and targetted programmes • to facilitate Roma inclusion, by celebrating and promoting Roma culture • to create spaces for meaningful intercultural dialogue, thus fostering greater mutual understanding between Roma and the wider community
