Objectives: The organisation is established for charitable purposes only, and in particular, the objects are: The advancement of community development by assisting people who are at a disadvantage because of their social and economic circumstances by recruiting and supporting local volunteers to provide access to fresh fruit and vegetables at affordable prices and run events and activities to give practical peer support to increase the amount of fruit and vegetables consumed and increase self reliance and social interaction in the community. The advancement of education by providing training and work experience for volunteers running local food co-ops hereby embedding improved knowledge of food hygiene and healthy eating in the community. improving employability through skills for running a food co-op including food hygiene training, environmental health requirements, ordering, cash handling, IT, working with others and customer relations. and increasing capacity of volunteers to deliver healthy eating information, community cooking and other healthy eating related community activities. The advancement health through the provision of access to fresh fruit and vegetables and promoting evidence based information on healthy eating and healthy lifestyle choices and supporting related community activities.
