Stonehaven Town Partnership(STP) is a registered charity whose objectives are to promote community development by encouraging voluntary activity and increasing the involvement of individuals in community activity by assisting voluntary organisations, charities and social enterprises. It also manages assets for the benefit of the community and public in general. STP has a successful track record of managing community assets and land. In 2013 STP took over the Queen Elizabeth II Caravan Park from Aberdeenshire Council. This is now leased by STP to the Caravan and MotorhomeClub for a 75 year term. It is regularly fully occupied and generates c£2m into the Stonehaven economy. More recently STP formed a company limited by Guarantee, StonehavenTown Partnership Operations Limited to complete a community asset purchase of the Stonehaven Sheriff Court Building. This was purchased in 2018 and is now fully occupied by tenants. Future strategy involves dispersement of revenues from Wind Farms

Objectives: The organisation's purposes are to: advance citizenship and community development in the area defined by post codes attached as appendix 1 by a) encouraging voluntary activity and increasing the involvement of individuals in community activity by assisting voluntary organisations, charities and social enterprises to develop their skills in, for example, managing and operating a community asset. and b) to assist in the regeneration of the area through the improvement of the physical, social and economic environment in order to: Manage community land and associated assets for the benefit of the Community and the public in general. Provide, or assist in providing, recreational facilities, and/or organising recreational activities, which will be available to members of the Community and public at large with the object of improving the conditions of life of the Community. Advance community development, including urban or rural regeneration within the Community. Advance the education of the Community about its environmental, cultural, heritage and/or history. Advance environmental protection or improvement including preservation, sustainable development and conservation of the natural environment, the maintenance, improvement or provision of environmental amenities for the Community and/or the preservation of buildings or sites of architectural, historic or other importance to the community.
