We own and maintain a 67Ha community wood in Aberdeenshire. The wood is designated by Aberdeenshire Council as a Local Nature Conservation Site and most of our work is directed to improving biodiversity and habitat in the wood. We run weekly and monthly work parties for volunteers to perform light work in the wood (hand tools only) and we hire-in contractors when we need to fell trees or perform engineering works. We host a forest school during term time & routinely host research visits. The wood is extremely popular in the area (e.g. Alltrails.com)
